Illinois Legislature defeats business tax

The Illinois Legislature defeated, by a vote of 107 - 0, a proposal by Governor Blagovejich to raise business taxes by $7.6 billion.  At the last minute, the Governor threw his support behind the effort to defeat his own plan.
