The amendments to AB 8, the Democrats' health care reform bill, hilariously entitled it, "California Health Care Reform and Cost Control Act."  The only cost control apparent in this bill is asserting state bureaucratic control over $6.5 billion a year in private business costs now earmarked for health care.  It would be a miracle if health care costs did not increase even more rapidly after adding several million uninsured individuals to the health insurance rolls.
