The California chapter of the National Federation of Independent Business released a study on the jobs impact of AB 8. NFIB's study found that the legislation would result in the loss of 249,000 jobs as a consequence of the new 7.5% payroll tax.  The study also found the bill would have a minimum price tag for California employers of $8.3 billion - mostly falling on small businesses.
